Face Validity is the most basic type of validity and it is associated with a highest level of subjectivity because it is not based on any scientific approach. Things are slightly different, however, in Qualitative research.
For all secondary data, a detailed assessment of reliability and validity involve an appraisal of methods used to collect data [Saunders et al., 2009]. This type of validity involves deductive reasoning from observation.

In Quantitative research, reliability refers to consistency of certain measurements, and validity – to whether these measurements “measure what they are supposed to measure”.
